If you're reading this, then you're probably interested in learning more about the support role in League of Legends. In this blog post, we'll go over some of the basics of the support role and how you can use it to your advantage in-game.

We'll start by discussing what the support role is and what its main purpose is. Then, we'll talk about some of the key responsibilities of a support player. After that, we'll give you some tips on how to improve your gameplay by understanding these responsibilities and how they work.

What is the support role?

The support role in League of Legends is a very important part of any team composition. It's also one of the most misunderstood roles, but for good reason - there's a lot going on behind the scenes that you may not be aware of when you choose this role. The support role was created so that players could focus more on assisting their teammates with gold and items rather than trying to spend it on themselves to buy items that would help them be more powerful in battle. The support role is all about assisting your teammates, but there's a lot more to it than just that. Let's go over some of the responsibilities you have as a support player.

Your main job is to help your teammates win fights and objectives. You do this by using gold and items to help them out. In most scenarios, you don't want to take part in any fights or even get close to them. Instead, you want to make sure that your teammates are able to get the gold they need in order to purchase items that will help them be more effective in battle. You should also keep an eye on the map and see if any of your teammates are in a position where they could use some extra support. If so, you should try and join up with them for a few seconds until they're no longer in danger of being killed by the enemy team.

Another important part of playing support is knowing when to help your teammates with items and when not to. For example, if you have an item like a health potion or a ward that can be used on yourself or given to another teammate, then it's usually better to use it on them instead of yourself in most cases. The reason for this is because the more health you have, the higher chance you have at surviving fights against enemies. And since you're not supposed to be in those fights anyway, then giving your teammates some extra health can be a lot more helpful than taking the extra health for yourself.

Another thing to keep in mind is that you should always know what your teammates are building. If they're getting certain items over others, then it's probably worth trying to get them whatever item they're building so that they'll have better stats when they go into battle. This is especially important if you don't have any vision on the map and don't know where the enemy champions are at that moment
