If you're looking to climb the ranks in League of Legends, then you've come to the right place. In this article, I'm going to be listing some of the best tips and advice for climbing the ladder in League of Legends. While no one thing is guaranteed to make you climb, following these tips will help you improve your game while also learning from other players who have climbed the ranks as well.
Note: This article is geared more towards beginners who are looking to climb the ladder for the first time. It will not go into detail about advanced techniques that are used by higher elo players.
1) Play a lot of games, but don't play too many at once.
This is one of the most common pieces of advice given out there. The reason why is because it works. Playing a ton of games will help you learn what it means to be competitive in League of Legends. You'll learn how to cooperate with teammates, how to react in game-changing situations and many more things that will help you become a better player overall. However, playing too many games at once can be very detrimental to your progress. If you're playing 3+ games at once, then it's going to be hard for you to focus on any one of them. You'll end up with poor teamwork, less concentration on the game itself and just overall unfruitful gameplay. While this may seem like common sense, I still see a lot of people in the lower levels of League who just play way too many games at once. It's always better to play 1-2 games consistently than playing 4 or 5 and not giving them your full attention.
2) Join a community!
Thiis is another piece of advice that most people know, but it's still worth mentioning! Joining a community will help you make friends who can become your allies in League and also teach you more about the game. Playing with friends will always be better than playing alone, as you'll have someone to rely on when you need help or just want some advice. You'll find that you're much more motivated to climb the ladder when you have friends to play with.
